About the EMTEL web site

This web site has been created as part of the continued efforts within ETSI to promote and support standardization activities on emergency telecommunications. The purpose of the site is to provide a focal point for information on standardization activities, with presentation of what has been done and is being done within ETSI, and also providing links to corresponding activities in other Standards Development Organizations (SDOs).

A series of activities on EMTEL standardization has been initiated. As work progresses in the various SDOs, the intention is to update this site in order to provide the reader with the latest information and links to that information. From this point of view, the site is continuously "under construction".
